When Jesus teaches us to pray we discover that we’re mistaken prayer when we treat it as a performance and we’ve misunderstood prayer when we treat it as a way to manipulate God into doing what we want. Instead, Jesus teaches us prayer is a conversation about things that are of mutual concern. He invites us to approach God as He would Father.
