Opportunities to Serve

Serving at Cascades

For more than 65 years, our church’s ministry has been sustained through volunteers: people who serve and give up their time and talents to help others meet Jesus, find community, and get help they need.

We believe the way of Jesus is a way of service. Jesus tells us, “the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” Elsewhere in the Bible, Apostle Paul will write, “serve one another humbly in love.” As Jesus’s disciples, we want to follow the path He’s laid out for us. So instead of always taking, we want to serve; instead of demanding, we want to humbly offer; and instead of seeking to satisfy our own needs, we want to help meet the needs of people in our church, community, and city.

Below are descriptions of some of the different opportunities to serve.
