The religious leaders of Jesus’ day and Jesus’ disciples offer us two portraits of faith in Jesus. In this passage, we discover how Jesus responds to an unwillingness to trust or understand Him, and how He responds to those who trust, but struggle to understand. Through Jesus, we find hope in our own struggles to understand, and we learn what to be on guard of.
