Jesus shows us that the kind of rest He wants to give to his disciples is rooted in a heart of mercy and kindness. Because He is the most restful being in all the cosmos, anyone who chooses to follow Him will experience what resting with Him is like: namely provision for our needs, defence from our enemies, and restoration of our bodies and souls.
