In this Good Friday message, Alex preaches from Luke 23:44-47. Death by crucifixion was terrible and yet Jesus chose to die. In John 10 Jesus says, “No one takes [my life] I lay it down of my own accord.” Why? Because Jesus so loved humanity that He willingly identified with humanity. Identifying with humanity meant taking their place and making payment for their sins. The cross of Christ is God’s ultimate form of identification with us.
