We look at the eighth and final Beatitude where Jesus ‘walks onto the stage’ and ties not only righteousness, but all of the Beatitudes to Himself. The Way of Jesus and His Kingdom is subversive to the dominant ways of being, doing, and speaking. Alex highlights how those who choose to follow Jesus to a place where light confronts darkness can expect to experience the same kind of criticism and rejection that He did.
