The letter of Galatian proclaims the freedom that Jesus brings and the Spirit empowers us to live. This new life begins when we trust in Jesus and can only be completed by continuing to trust Him. Our own strength isn’t enough. so, when we “walk by the Spirit”, God will lead us in ways that reflect and embody the character of Jesus Himself–namely characteristics like: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. In this first message, we’ll look at how the end result of being led by the Spirit is love for God and others.
