You can’t live the life Jesus came to bring without an ongoing encounter of His kindness. That’s part of what ‘walking in step with the Spirit’ is about. God is kind. If you’ve never experienced the kindness of God, if you’ve gone so long that you’ve forgotten what the kindness of God is like you’ll have small imagination for that the care, compassion, and kindness that is possible for you and for others. More than that, harshness will be your all too common experience in life.
