What are we asking God for when we pray, “lead us not into temptation”? In this last petition of the Lord’s Prayer, Ron Edgecombe teaches the relationship between the words testing and temptation. God doesn’t tempt us, but He does use the test of life to form us. The sixth petition is a request for God to lead us through the tests of life and not let the tests turn into temptations that lead us away.
