When Jesus sees the exhaustion, illness, and waywardness of humanity something deep within Him is stirred up: Compassion. It is not the resilience, faithfulness, or prayers that moves Jesus to compassion; it’s our hurt. Remarkably, His response to it is to call us to join Him in His mission.
