As promised, here are the answers to our “Guess the Era” quiz: 1. Our stained glass windows date back to 1955 and were brought over from the original chapel. 2. These pews were installed in 1974 & replaced the old ones. 3. This wooden cross was crafted in 2024 by Sarah’s brother Jayden. 4. The baby grand upstairs has graced the stage since 1974 (and still sounds great!). 5. The upright piano downstairs was donated in 1955 by someone in the neighbourhood. (Ask Ian about the story!) 6. Did you know this is considered a lift and not an elevator because you have to hold the buttons down to operate it? (Or so we were told when they installed it in 2008!) 7. The downstairs Ministry Room was renovated in 2021 and now serves as a bright comfortable space for Cascades Kids, weekday seminars and events like baby showers. 8. The Upper Room was created in 2008 but renovated into a beautiful new nursery in 2024. How many did you get right?
