The story of Jesus healing the daughter of a Canaanite woman is one of the most confusing found in the New Testament. Jesus seems to respond to the mother’s cries for help with silence and prejudice, and only after she persists does she grant her wish. In this message we unpack what explains his seemingly strange behaviour. In so doing, the disciples discover it is true faith in Jesus opens the door to the kingdom of heaven for Jews and Gentiles alike.
