Daniel 7 highlights a pattern about life during exile and a promise for life after exile. The pattern is clear: human kingdoms become beastly when they glorify their own power and redefine good and evil. But the promise is greater: one day God will remove all beastly kingdoms, and the Son of Man will receive a kingdom that will never pass away. As a Creative Minority, we must name the pattern honestly while rooting ourselves in the promise, patiently trusting Jesus — the true Son of Man — who restores our humanity and empowers us to live faithfully as exiles awaiting our true home.
